Instagram is back with a new update again, this time the newly added feature is for stories, the new story feature will enable users to tag multiple tags with a single mention as instagram has recognized how cumbersome it was to tag multiple people in the story. Through, this update, ypu will be able to tag your entire in your story with a single mention.
People who wish to tag multiple people in their instagram story, they will be needed to create a “Group Mention”. Eventually, the users will be able to reuse a single mention repeatedly to tag all the members of the group.
Acccording to Adam Mosseri, Head Of Instagram “We’re testing a way to tag a group of people in a story using a single mention. Once you create a group mention, it can be reused by anyone in the group to automatically tag everyone in any new stories. So if you’re on a summer trip with friends, you can more easily include everyone without needing to tag each person individually,”
This feature is very useful for cricket players, football clubs and a squad of gamers. There is no information about the official release of this feature yet, but it is expected that instagram will release this feature in the forthcoming weeks. The update is speculated to be released in USA before other regions.
Meta seems to be proactive in terms of releasing new features to instagram and Threads. After, Meta’s takeover of instagram, the company has made numerous changes in the interface with adding new features to the platform. Earlier sometime, instagram got an new feature to add notes, after with an update, users were allowed to share songs to the notes, which was quite impressive, seriality doesn’t ends here, addition and subtraction will still go on.
