Notable features
Journal App
Apple’s own Journal App is included in iOS 17. This allows users to keep an account of their daily activities and ideas. Journal, a new iPhone app, will be available before year’s end. On-screen technology are used by journals to provide recommendations depending on the user’s habits.
Namedrop
Users will be able to easily share contact information with other devices by holding them close utilising the new NameDrop function. Even large-sized images and videos can now be transferred using the SharePlay API simply by putting the devices closer together.
Standby Mode
The iOS 17 update will include a new feature that will allow additional things to be displayed on the locked iPhone screen while charging. While charging, this new standby mode will turn the screen into a smart display. Aside from the time and date, it will also show live activity and visits. Siri can now be summoned simply by saying “Hey Siri!” There is also no need to speak. While charging horizontally, the phone will automatically go to standby mode.
