iPhone 14 Pro: When the iPhone 14 series was launched, Apple released the new pill-shaped design for its latest Pro models. But it received a lot of mixed reviews. Some people loved the new design whereas some people believed that it was an old design and that apple is making a fool out of its customers.

When the new design was launched Apple promised that the new design feature will make the user experience better by integrating itself with multiple apps. But so far we have only seen the dynamic island working with Apple native apps.
But after iOS 16.1 was released developers started working on the new design feature and many companies have come out with apps that have started using the dynamic island while displaying notifications.
Dynamic island capabilities
Dynamic Island is considered to be a part of the notification bar. The feature displays notifications with some animation that, to be honest looks really nice. It is also somewhat practical as the user does not have to open the app, again and again, to see what has been happening as most of the useful information is transferred and displayed on the dynamic island. It solves a problem that the users did not know they had.
Zomato has come out with a very innovative use of the feature, after one orders food from the app, the app will transfer all the package tracking information to the dynamic island. On one end there is a Zomatio logo and a ticking timer on the other, tapping on these logos takes you to the tracing page, whereas a long tap on the bar opens up the tracking widget, where users can see the food preparation status and delivery details.
This small change makes a huge difference as the users get real-time information about their order while using other apps or doing something else on their iPhones. Whereas if someone is using a different iPhone which does not have the new design feature they need to constantly go to the app to see the details.
Is this iPhone 14 Pro feature useful?
As apps have started integrating the dynamic island in their apps, the feature is getting more useful day by day. The feature also makes life easier by showing useful information on the go and saves the users time. So yes the dynamic island is very useful and will get even more useful over time.
