Kanye West: Kanye West’s Twitter account has been reinstated on the social media website X. ie. Approximately eight months ago, the rapper’s account—now referred to as “Ye”—was suspended. He was charged with breaking Twitter’s policies banning inciting violence.
Kanye West’s X account reinstated
Ye’s account was terminated in December, only two months after it had been reinstated following one of his posts that looked to contain a swastika sign inside of a Star of David.
This account’s most recent entry was made on December 1. His account was suspended one day later.
According to Reuters, Elon Musk, the new owner of platform X (previously Twitter), made the decision. Ye won’t be able to monetize his account on X, and advertisements won’t show up next to his posts, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing the social media platform.
According to the article, which cited a source familiar with the situation, X restored Ye’s account after getting assurances that he wouldn’t use the site to spread abusive or antisemitic comments.
