Instagram: Since its parent company launched Meta AI, Instagram has been exploring AI features. The social media network may be working on an AI message-writing capability, according to a recent leak. It is anticipated that this feature would allow users to edit, reword, and make stylistic changes to written messages sent through Instagram direct messages (DMs).
Instagram to soon let users use AI to compose messages?
In a screenshot posted, well-known app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi can be seen choosing to “write with AI” while chatting with another user.
“Instagram is working on the ability to write a message with AI,” Paluzzi wrote on X. It will probably “paraphrase your message in different styles, similar to how Google’s Magic Compose works,” he added.
Meta AI
With the help of a new class of generative AI capabilities, Instagram’s parent company, Meta, is gradually incorporating unique experiences that improve user connectivity. The Meta AI can be characterised as a chatbot that facilitates individual or group conversations and can be used for a number of tasks, such as making suggestions, delivering entertaining content, mediating conflicts, and sharing knowledge.
The company said, “We are rolling out AIs in the US only for now. To interact with Meta AI, start a new message and select ‘Create an AI chat’ on our messaging platforms, or type ‘@MetaAI’ in a group chat.”
Moreover, Meta AI will be integrated with Instagram’s Reels to offer users trip suggestions based on video reviews, step-by-step dance lessons, and project inspiration.
