Meta: In addition to the other AI enhancements that were revealed today, Meta AI, the company’s generative AI experience, is getting new features that will be available from now on. These features include support for Reels and the ability to generate new AI images when requested. The former, dubbed “reimagine,” lets users in group chats have more fun by using prompts to recreate AI graphics, while the latter can use Reels as a resource when necessary.
Meta reimagine
“Reimagine” is the new feature that Meta AI is rolling out on Instagram and Messenger. With the help of Meta AI, users can now create a starting image, which their friends may then embellish with text prompts to create a completely new image. The production and sharing of images gain a playful and communal element thanks to this feature.
In addition, Meta AI is integrating Reels—a tool for finding fresh content, interacting with producers, and getting ideas—into its chat feature. With the introduction of Reels to Meta AI discussions, users will be able to explore suggested locations and activities through captivating and immersive material.
Availability
Though Meta states that it has many more AI tools in testing, it says these features are rolled out starting today. More than 20 new generative AI experiences are reportedly being tested on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. These experiences include those that are centred on search, social discovery, advertisements, business messaging, and more, though you might not come across them all directly, according to Meta.
