Mphasis: According to the Mayor of West Yorkshire, who has just returned from a trip to India, the global technology and business process outsourcing company Mphasis, which is headquartered in Bengaluru, will create 1000 new jobs in the region of West Yorkshire, which is located in the north of England.
Recently, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, launched a trade mission to India. On Friday, she stated that she had been successful in securing a multi-million-pound investment for the region.
Mphasis’ latest investment will strengthen its foothold in West Yorkshire, where it employs 500 people in Leeds alone.

This builds on the previous year’s accomplishment of the corporation in establishing a centre of excellence for its insurance clients in Leeds, located in the United Kingdom.
She stated that the creation of this 1000 new employment will have a “transformative influence” on our economy and would open up exciting career prospects for the residents of West Yorkshire. The Mayor mentioned that while she was meeting with the company the previous week, she had the opportunity to speak with a number of strong and influential women in leadership positions.

“We are creating 1,000 jobs to promote economic growth in West Yorkshire, address the UK’s digital skills deficit, and assist the next wave of talent in the local business community”.

India is the second-largest source of FDI in the UK after the US, and trade between West Yorkshire and India is valued at about GBP 360 million.
West Yorkshire wants to strengthen ties with key overseas markets like India to boost commerce and investment. It cited Mphasis’ investment as evidence of the region’s goodwill toward India.
