Nothing: With a new sub-brand, Nothing, the London-based hardware firm best known for its phones and earphones, is entering the entry-level market. The CMF by Nothing sub-brand strives to increase customer access to great design across a wider demographic.
Nothing’s Sub-brand CMF
The goal of CMF by Nothing was to sell things at reasonable prices. CEO Carl Pei claims that CMF will provide a variety of goods that increase consumer access to superior design. This suggests that the new CMF lineup will concentrate on making less-priced products having the same “Common DNA” as Nothing, though they will be under separate labels.
“CMF by Nothing will be more accessibly priced—so that more people can get access to our ecosystem,” Carl Pei said.
Affordable devices to be launched soon
Carl Pei has made it clear that CMF will begin by introducing a new smartwatch and a pair of earbuds later this year. As a result, even though the rumours were correct, CMF will unveil the new smartwatch rather than Nothing.
According to Pei, the decision was made to avoid any “distraction from our main products” by having a separate team manage the CMF by Nothing subsidiary within the UK startup. He also hinted that a smartwatch and a set of wireless earbuds would be released later this year. Other information, like availability in markets like India, is still a mystery.
