OnePlus: High-end smartphone customers in particular are upset by the growing number of green line issues that affect devices with OLED panels. The lifetime warranty programme for its smartphones has been established by OnePlus, the first company to formally address the “green line” problem. The business will provide free display replacements for the impacted phones as part of this programme.
What did OnePlus say?
“We realize that this issue has caused a great deal of inconvenience to the affected users, and we apologize for it. In line with our unwavering commitment, we encourage users to visit the nearest OnePlus service centre for device diagnosis, and we will provide free screen replacement for all devices affected by the situation. On select OnePlus 8 and 9 Series devices, we are also offering a voucher that will provide the user with a fair percentage of the device value to upgrade to a new OnePlus device. In light of the current situation, we are now offering a lifetime screen warranty on all affected devices. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

In response to the news over the past few weeks, where certain OnePlus users in India and throughout the world have expressed worries about a strange green screen issue, OnePlus is adopting this lifetime warranty for its Indian users. The persistent green line negatively impacts the overall scrolling experience, even though the affected phones are still functional. AMOLED-equipped OnePlus smartphones seem to be particularly susceptible to this issue.
