OnePlus Open: The OnePlus Open will be the name of OnePlus’ first-ever foldable phone, the company recently appeared to confirm. The company previously acknowledged that the product might go on sale in the third quarter of this year. A recent article, however, also stated that there might be a “good reason” for the delay. In June, purported renders and information for the OnePlus Open appeared. The same trustworthy tipper Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka onleaks), has just revealed fresh renders of the foldable phone.
OnePlus Open fresh leaks
According to the most recent information, the OnePlus Open appears smaller in the new pictures than it did in the render that had previously leaked, which had a higher design factor. It now resembles the OPPO Find N2 or even the Google Pixel Fold in terms of its larger aspect ratio. Additionally, the foldable phone appears very compact—almost the size of a pocketbook. Every side of it has curved edges.
Both the interior and exterior displays of the OnePlus Open have slim bezels. On the exterior screen, the punch-hole cutout is positioned in the upper right corner; nevertheless, it is centred on the main display.
In addition to minor alterations from the early renders, the circular camera module on the back panel now gets more extensive. It has two sensors, a periscope lens, an ‘H’ marking indicating Hasselblad’s presence, and another sensor that might be a time-of-flight or a LiDAR sensor. Even though it has grown in size, the LED flash unit is still in the upper left corner of the back panel. The foldable phone’s back panel also boasts a simulated leather appearance.
