OpenAI Files Application For GPT-6 and 7 Trademarks in China; Details

OpenAI: American Artificial Intelligence firm, OpenAI has recently applied for GPT-6 and trademarks in China. The OpenAI’s trademark application suggests that the AI firm is planning to commercialize these versions in China which can also involve licensing the models to Chinese companies. OpenAI seems to be proactive in its approach to getting required trademarks in the country.

GPT-6 and 7 Details

The OpenAI’s application for trademarks for GPT-6 and GPT-7 is still under review. These models will get a significant improvement over their predecessors. GPT-6 and 7 are based on ChatGPT itself which is already capable of performing a wide range of tasks along with the ability to have human-like interactions. The earlier version such as GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 boasts a high 175 billion parameters and over 1 trillion parameters mark respectively. The stated figures are not officially declared by OpenAI.

Some time ago, the CEO of OpenAI, said that the company is working on GPT-5 with Microsoft’s backing for its research and development purposes. Despite, the recent turmoil and instability after the ousting of Sam Altman from OpenAI, the latest move of the AI firm suggests that it is dedicated to innovation in the Artificial Intelligence sector.
