Ratan Tata Deepfake: Renowned Indian Industrialist and former Chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata has recently issued a “Fake” alert for a fake video circulating on social media that uses his name. In the fake interview video, the industrialist can be seen promoting investment opportunities. This video was posted by an Instagram user named Sona Agrawal. The fake interview video claims to feature an interview with Mr Ratan Tata in which he suggests some promising, 100 per cent risk-free and risk-free investment plans.
Mr Tata has flagged this video as “Fake” and requested people to be aware of such scams. He also said that he never promotes individual investment plans or guarantees returns in such a way. He also requested people to not share the fake video.

The fake interview video of Mr Ratan Tata is believed to be a “Deepfake” kind of video which uses artificial intelligence to manipulate videos and create a realistic-looking fake video. The Deepfake technology cases are becoming increasingly common in India as it pose a great threat to spreading information and blackmailing individuals.
The fake interview video of Ratan Tata also shows messages of people receiving hefty payments as investment returns in their bank accounts.
