Redmi 13R 5G: China has seen the unveiling of a new Redmi smartphone. It’s a repackaged Redmi 13C 5G that was introduced in India only last month; it’s now the Redmi 13R 5G. Redmi phones often launch in China and then expand to other regions later under a different name, so this seems like a reversal approach. Together with an HD+ display, MIUI 14, a 50MP camera, and a 5,000mAh battery, this low-cost phone also has MIUI 14.
Redmi 13R 5G Specs
The Redmi 13R and Redmi 13C 5G share identical features. It features the same 6.74-inch 720p LCD screen with a waterdrop-style notch and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Its MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus processor and 5,000mAh battery, which supports 18W rapid charging and comes with a 10W charger, are identical under the hood. The phone is also powered by the same MIUI 14 software, which is based on Android 13. You get one 50-megapixel rear camera and one 5-megapixel front camera for taking pictures.
The rear panel design of this new phone is the only thing that has changed. An upgraded camera component on the Redmi 13R makes it resemble a Poco phone more. Similar to the Redmi 13C 5G, it is available in three different colours: black, silver, and green.
Redmi 13R 5G price
The price of the Redmi 13R 5G for its single 4GB+128GB version is 999 Yuan, or approximately $140. Star Rock Black, Fantasy Purple, and Wave Water Green are the three unique colours available.
