In a statement on Thursday, Reliance Industries Limited has warned people about fake websites who are involved in fraudery by pretending to be a part of JioMart. These unethical websites have duped citizens asserting to grant franchise of JioMart services, the company said.
As per Relaince RetAIl’s statement, hackers have created websites that look exactly like the JioMart website to loot customers.
The company has posted a video on its social media handle warning people. It says “Reliance Retail would like to inform the public at large that we are not operating any dealership or franchisee model currently nor have we appointed any franchisee or any agent for appointing any dealer or franchisee in any manner whatsoever. Further, we do not charge any amount under the pretence of appointing a person as a franchisee.”
The company listed up to 10 fake JioMart websites who have been caught duping people. These websites include:

- jiomartfranchises.com
- jiomartshop.info
- jiomartreliance.com
- jiomartfranchiseonline.com
- jiomartsfranchises.online
- jiomart-franchise.com
- jiomartindia.in.net
- jiomartfranchise.co
“Reliance Retail also warns that it will not hesitate to institute criminal or civil proceedings against any such person to prevent misuse of trademarks and protect its goodwill and reputation. The company further urged members of the public to report such deceitful activities to its legal cell,” it said.
JioMart that sells groceries across various categories was introduced just a few month ago as a part of Reliance’s extended efforts to help customers shop groceries at the lowest price while siting at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
