Samsung S24 Series: A recent report claims that the Samsung S24 Series will offer 7 years of Android updates. The Korean smartphone is probably doing this to give a run to its rivals such as Google and Apple. While launching the Pixel 8 Series in October 2023, Google announced that the Pixel 8 Series will carry 7 years of Android updates. On the other hand, Apple usually offers 5 years of iOS updates on its devices.
Galaxy S24 Series to Get 7 Years of Android Updates
If the reported facts are true, it will be a major advantage for the upcoming series over its rivals. These OS updates will significantly increase the lifespan of these smartphones. The device will reportedly launch with Android 14 and will get the updates up to Android 21
The Korean smartphone company, Samsung is all set to launch the S24 Series on January 17 in India. However, there is no official information about the specs of these smartphones. But here we have mentioned all the expected specs of the S24 Series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Specifications
The Samsung S24 Series comes with some major updates for all the models. All the devices in the series get a 120 Hz refresh rate display. Starting with the Galaxy S24, the device gets a 6.2-inch FHD+ panel. The device will be equipped with a powerful Exynos 2400, the device is said to carry Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in some regions.
The Samsung S24 Plus will come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display. The S24 Plus will also carry the same processor as the base Galaxy S24. While both Samsung S24 and S24 Plus get a triple rear camera incorporating a 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto. Both devices will get 25-watt wired and 15-watt wireless charging speeds.
Talking about the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the device differentiates from other devices in the series as it comes powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in all regions. The top-end model gets a 6.8-inch QHD+ panel and sports a quad-camera setup that houses a 200MP primary camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. The S24 Ultra also gets an S Pen Stylus. The S24 Ultra comes equipped with a 5000 mAh battery which supports 45-watt fast charging.
