Samvad App: In 2021, the multilingual texting app Samvad, developed in-house, gained prominence. According to information obtained at that time from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, two messaging apps similar to WhatsApp were undergoing beta testing in India. One of those programmes was called Samvad, while the other was called Sandes. News of Samvad has now surfaced. DRDO, the Defence Research and Development Organisation, has now approved the Samvad app.

DRDO Confirms Samvad App’s Security

The Samvad app passed the security test, according to a tweet from DRDO. CDOT is the one who prepared this app. ‘Samvad app, built by CDoT, has passed DRDO’s security test and Trust Assurance Level (TAL) 4’, the DRDO stated in a post. On iOS and Android smartphones, this software offers end-to-end secure voice and text messaging.

Registration Process for Samvad on CDoT Website Unveiled

It is also possible to use Samvad. You must register on the CDoT website in order to do this. Name, phone number, and OTP will be needed for this. It has not yet been made available to the general public. Its competitors upon release will be instantaneous multimedia messaging apps such as Telegram and WhatsApp.
