Outlook: Microsoft Corp. stated on Wednesday that it was looking into a problem affecting a number of services, including Teams and Outlook, and that the platforms were down for thousands of users worldwide, according to outage reports.
Downdetector website keeps track of outages
Microsoft with held information about how many users were impacted by the outage, but data from the website that tracks outages, Downdetector, revealed more than 3,900 incidents in India and more than 900 in Japan. Australia, Britain, and the United Arab Emirates all saw an increase in outage reports.By compiling status reports from various sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform, the Downdetector website keeps track of outages.
Hashtag #MicrosoftTeams is trending on Twitter
Most users were unable to communicate with one another, participate in calls, or use any Team application features during the outage. The hashtag #MicrosoftTeams was trending on Twitter as a result of the large number of users who used the social media platform to share updates about the service disruption. With more than 280 million users worldwide, Microsoft Teams is an essential part of business and educational operations. Teams users use the service to make calls, schedule meetings, and manage their workflow.
