Smartphone Care Tips: Our cellphones are our constant companions, serving a variety of purposes such as shopping, navigation, and entertainment. However, all that use also brings dirt, dust, smudges, and bacteria, which can leave your screen not just unclean but also contaminated. A clean phone screen involves more than just having a glossy display—it also involves good hygiene.
Smartphone Care Tips: How to clean your smartphone’s screen
- Step 1: Switch off your phone and unhook all of your cords first. It’s possible that the case is keeping you from reaching into the indentations on the side of the screen, so make sure to take it off.
- Step 2: Starting at the top of the screen, wipe it down with a microfiber cloth that has been slightly wet with water. To ensure that your material dries quickly, it should just be slightly damp. Keep moisture out of any ports or openings on the phone.
- Step 3: Cleansing your phone once in a while will help keep you from accumulating and spreading potentially harmful bacteria. It’s advisable to confirm with the phone’s maker for their recommendations, but generally speaking, you can clean the outside of your phone with a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe.
- Step 4: The lens, sides, and back should not be overlooked. Give the remainder of your phone a thorough cleaning while you’re at it. The back and sides of your phone should be cleaned using your wet microfiber cloth. Wipe the front and rear lenses with a dry microfiber cloth to prevent foggy pictures.
