Sony PS5 Slim: Sony last year unveiled the PlayStation 5, a successor to its 2020 gaming system. Originally exclusively available in the United States, the system went by the name PS5 Slim. But, because the system will soon be available in India, PlayStation enthusiasts there may finally celebrate. April 5 will be the PS5 Slim’s debut in India, according to a recent announcement from the Japanese tech titan. Read on to know more about the new console.
Sony PS5 Slim details
When Sony updated the PS5 range in October of last year, it revealed a thinner, redesigned system that had essentially the same hardware as the original PS5. Because of the design modifications, the PS5 slim has a comparatively smaller form factor than the PS5 standard. Its volume has been reduced by over 30%, and its weight has been reduced by up to 24%.
Along with a slightly larger internal SSD, up from the original PS5’s 825GB custom SSD to 1TB. Additionally, users of the PS5 slim digital edition console have the option to attach an external UHD Blu-ray disc drive. However, the PS5’s processing power and graphics capabilities are carried over to the new model.
Price in India
Pricing-wise, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is available for Rs 44,990, while the PlayStation 5 Slim with a disc drive costs Rs 54,990. There will be multiple vendors offering these consoles for sale both online and offline.
