Sony Xperia 1 V: Sony has so far been able to keep its new technology a secret. One image purportedly representing the rear of Sony’s Xperia 1 V has apparently leaked online. According to numerous sources, this could be the thinnest flagship smartphone ever.
All about the Sony Xperia 1 V
There isn’t much information we can determine about the Sony Xperia 1 V from the one image we have. The 2023 version does, however, have a few unique features.
The current model does not appear to have a time-of-flight sensor (ToF) or an RGB-IR sensor, in contrast to the Xperia 1 IV from the previous year. There are now just three substantial sensors left, each of which seems to be bigger than its forerunner from a year ago. The LED flash is now contained in the camera island, although the ZEISS branding survives. Rumour has it that the handset will have LG Innotek’s “Optical Telephoto Zoom Module,” which will enable 4x to 9x magnification.
In addition to the cameras, the NFC logo can be seen to the right of the camera island, indicating that the unit that was leaked is a global model. This makes sense because a Felica branding would have been there on the device if it were a Japanese model. The Xperia 1 V will reportedly be the thinnest cellphone to employ Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, according to a Chinese leaker on Weibo.

Launch and price
A launch as early as April 2023 is possible because Sony is currently two months ahead of schedule in the Xperia 1 V’s testing phase compared to its 2022 predecessor. Sony has a history of charging exorbitant prices for their products, so we can anticipate that trend to continue. The Xperia 1 V may cost the same as the Xperia 1 IV in the United States, where it is still on sale for $1,199 on Sony’s official website.
