Soon You Can Track Your Stolen Mobile Phone Thanks To This New Govt Portal

On May 17, which is also World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, a new portal called www.sancharsaathi.gov.in will be set to be opened, allowing the government to soon assist millions of people in tracking their lost or stolen mobile phones.

People may monitor and recover their missing mobile phones with the use of this new webpage.

Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will formally introduce the Sanchar Saathi platform on May 17. The platform, which will serve lost or stolen mobile phones connected to all telecom circles, would be accessible throughout the nation.

This webpage exclusively serves the Delhi and Mumbai communities at this time.

4,70,000 lost or stolen mobile phones have been blocked using this service so far. Additionally, this platform has enabled the tracking of more than 2,40,000 mobile phones, according to official sources. Through the link, some 8,000 phones have also been located.

Through this portal, customers may also view the number on their SIM card and block it if someone is observed using it in combination with the owner’s ID.
