Top 5 iPad Tips and Tricks

Use the secret trackpad

When using an application like Mail, you may use two fingers to touch the on-screen keyboard, transforming it into a trackpad that moves with your fingers. Editing documents is greatly aided by it.

Keep it clean

Do your apps appear dispersed over several Home Screens? You can locate what you’re looking for more quickly if you group them into folders for apps that share your interests. For quick access to your favourites, you can even drag folders to your Dock.

Floating Keyboard

Especially when it’s in a landscape position, the built-in iPad keyboard is quite large. Should you prefer a smaller version, simply slide your finger over Float after pressing and holding the keyboard icon located at the bottom left of the screen. You may now move the keyboard around by dragging its bottom edge, and it gets considerably smaller. Resize it to its original size by pinching it out with two fingers.

Take a screenshot

There will be a click when you simultaneously push the Power and Volume Up (or Sleep/Wake and Home, if your device has a Home button) buttons. The screenshot is immediately added to your Photos library, but first a thumbnail displays on the screen. By tapping on it, you can make changes to the image before sharing or storing it.

Watch videos while working

You’ll see a small icon of a screen with an arrow in it while you’re viewing a movie or making a FaceTime video chat in full screen mode. For instance, if you’re watching a music video in Apple Music, it’s up by the close icon at the upper left corner of the window. When you tap it once, the video shrinks; when you tap it again, the size of the video increases.
