The long-requested edit tweet function, which enables users to alter their tweets, has finally been released by Twitter. Since a while ago, Twitter has been testing an Edit button for tweets internally. Now the feature is live, but there’s a catch.
Only Twitter Blue subscribers currently have access to the edit tweet feature. Now, Canadians, Australians, and New Zealanders using Twitter Blue will be able to access the “Edit Tweet” feature. Twitter acknowledged that the function would soon be available to Twitter Blue subscribers in the US.
Since Twitter Blue is only available in a few nations, it is uncertain whether regular Twitter users will have access to the “Edit Tweet” option, but it may eventually be made available to all users. Twitter has also confirmed that every altered tweet has a version history that users may view to see exactly what has changed.
Since users have long requested the ability to swiftly go back and correct minor errors, the platform’s addition of the edit button for tweets is very much appreciated. In the past, users had to republish tweets once typos were fixed. After a post is submitted, most social media networks allow users to edit it.
