Further monetisation of platform
Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, there have been considerable changes in the working mechanism and structural organization of the company. Users now have to pay $8 per month to verify their account, while organizations are supposed to pay $1,000 per month.
The plan to monetize TweetDeck could prove to be a major revenue generator because of its wide use by businesses and news media portals to monitor the content on the platform. The announcement has sparked a major backlash among some users and ad experts many of whom believe it would undermine the new CEO Linda Yaccarino.
Recently Elon Musk made the announcement regarding limiting the number of posts that can be accessed by verified and unverified users in a day.
