Vespa Elettrica E-scooter: Italian-based Piaggio is a manufacturer of motor vehicles that produces a variety of two-wheelers. Through one of its Vespa subsidiaries, the Vespa Elettrica, Piaggio hopes to make a name for itself in the Indian electronic vehicle (EV) market. The Vespa Elettrica has previously been shown off by the business twice at the Delhi Auto Expo, in 2018 and 2020. While new players are entering the EV market, it appears that Piaggio, an established player, is taking a wait-and-see approach. When asked “when people will see Vespa Elettrica on the roads,” Sudhanshu Agarwal, the business head of two-wheelers at Piaggio India, replied the EV sector is still in its infancy.
