Vivo: Samsung was the most popular smartphone brand in India during the second quarter of this year, according to data released a few days ago by a market research company. Currently, a different report asserts that Vivo actually led smartphone shipments in India. IDC claims that during Q2 2023, Samsung fell to second place in the Indian smartphone market.
Vivo surpasses Samsung
Chinese company Vivo pushed out Samsung to claim the top spot in the Indian smartphone market. The International data Corporation (IDC)’s most recent study states that India’s statistics for the second quarter of 2023 has already become noteworthy.
In comparison to this period last year, when Vivo’s market share was 14.5 per cent, Vivo boosted it to 16 per cent by the end of the second quarter. The company’s cargo increased by 7.4 per cent throughout this time.
The second-place finisher in the IDC report is the Korean business Samsung. The company’s market share in the second quarter of this year was 15.7%, compared to Samsung’s market share in the same quarter last year of 16.3%.
The third place belongs to Realme. Realme’s market share is 12.6 per cent in the second quarter of this year, down from 17.5 per cent in the corresponding period of last year. With a market share of 11%, Oppo brand is in fourth place, down from the company’s market share of 11.5 per cent in the same quarter the previous year.
