Vivo X Fold 2: Vivo is working on two new foldable phones for the Chinese market, according to reports. Digital Chat Station, a good source of information, says that the company plans to release the Vivo X Fold 2 and the Vivo X Flip in the first half of 2022. The source has told us about the X Fold 2’s most important features.

The source says that the Vivo X Fold 2 will have a screen that can be folded and has a 2K resolution. It looks like both the front and the back screens will have a fingerprint scanner built into the glass.
The main camera on the X Fold 2 will be a Sony IMX866 that has OIS. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will power the phone that you can fold. It looks like a device that doesn’t weigh much. To remind you, the Vivo X Fold, which came out in the first half of 2022 and has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, weighs 311 grammes. On the other hand, the weight of the X Fold+, which came with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, is the same. The Oppo Find N2, which came out earlier this month in China and can be folded, weighs about 235 grammes. Because of this, it seems likely that Vivo is working on making the X Fold 2 lighter.
Vivo has no plans to make a new phone to replace the Vivo X Note
The only thing we know for sure about the Vivo X Flip is that it will have the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The source said that Vivo has no plans to make a new phone to replace the Vivo X Note. To remind you, the X Note had a huge 7-inch OLED screen, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, four 50-megapixel cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Vivo came out with two X-series models this year, including the Vivo X80 series and the Vivo X90 lineup. The source said that starting next year, the company will only make one generation of X-series phones.
