You may create custom stickers or convert your own photographs into stickers with this new feature. Instead of using third-party programs or dragging and dropping images from your photo collection, you can now make customised stickers straight within the messaging app owned by Meta. WhatsApp to now let iPhone users turn their photos into stickers
Recently, WhatsApp revealed an intriguing new feature for users of iOS 17: a built-in personalised sticker maker. With the help of this creative innovation, users can now create stickers from their own images or those of their friends, and they can even add text, draw on their creations, and layer other stickers on top of them without ever having to close the app.
iPhone users can easily create, edit, and share personalised stickers directly within the WhatsApp app with the Sticker Maker, adding a fun touch to discussions. WhatsApp’s Sticker Maker allows you to modify photographs with a variety of tools, such as text, drawing choices, and sticker overlaying, in addition to an auto-crop feature. This is in contrast to typical image dragging and dropping methods.
How to use this feature?
- Make sure your phone is running the most recent version of WhatsApp.
- Open WhatsApp on your iOS device.
- Go to the chat window where you want to send a personalised sticker.
- Give the sticker button a tap.
- Press and hold the left side of the Plus (+) icon.
- Choose the picture you wish to turn into a sticker.
- The picture will be processed by WhatsApp automatically, which will also remove the backdrop and turn it into a sticker. The sticker can then have text added to it, drawings made on it, highlights applied, or even existing stickers added to it.
- To send your personalised sticker, simply hit the arrow at the end.
