WhatsApp: WhatsApp said on Friday that users would be able to send audio messages that, after being listened to, would disappear. The instant messaging company believes that extending the view once function to audio conversations will increase the privacy of your messages, as it has been available for photographs and videos since 2021. WhatsApp introduces a ‘view once’ feature for voice messages
This feature is ideal for exchanging sensitive data, such as credit card numbers, or organising surprises, according to WhatsApp. Voice messages are designated with a “one-time” icon and are limited to a single play, much like ‘View Once’ images and movies. As soon as voice messages are end-to-end encrypted by default, WhatsApp claims the new perspective. The View Once voice messages will be available worldwide over the next several days, according to a WhatsApp announcement.
How to use this feature
When sending a view-once photo or audio message, you will have to choose view-once every time. Launch a private or group conversation to send a view-once audio. Tap and hold the record. Afterwards, tap the “view once” symbol. The view once mode is activated when that symbol turns green. It’s now time to press send.
