WhatsApp: Users of the web version of WhatsApp are now receiving Status Updates. Users of WhatsApp may share updates via images and videos using Status, which is the messaging app’s take on Stories. When they exchange status updates, the messaging app’s display picture turns green and becomes tapable, revealing the shared update.
WhatsApp web versions to get status update sharing feature
Feature tracker WABetaInfo discovered a new feature in the online client that lets users publish updates from the Status area after updating to WhatsApp web beta 2.2353.59. To upload a status update, beta testers should be able to click the green button next to their profile picture under My Status, then tap on Photos & Videos or Text.
The article claims that the most recent version streamlines the update uploading process by introducing a function that lets users contribute text, images, and videos straight from the online client. Noteworthy, some customers who had previously signed up for the official web client beta programme can now access this functionality, giving them access to some beta features only.
With WhatsApp Web, users can now share moments without switching between their computers and mobile devices thanks to the inclusion of status updates. In terms of status updates, it is expected that this syncing between the online and mobile versions would offer a consistent and smooth user experience. More seamless and intuitive communication between the two platforms is anticipated as a result of this improvement, which should make it simpler to connect with contacts.
A new feature is incoming
Additionally, WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will let users share music during video calls, much like they would in person. This will effectively allow users to bond over music together. The SharePlay feature that Apple allows users to use during FaceTime calls is comparable to this functionality.
