Users will be able to transfer chat history to a new device by scanning QR Code
It will make Google Drive unnecessary, so users won’t have to back up their chat data to the cloud service in order to transfer the chats from one device to another.
In the meantime, WhatsApp also introduced a proxy support for users worldwide, including the millions of people in Iran and other countries who continue to lack the freedom to connect in private and freely.
By selecting a proxy, they can connect to WhatsApp using servers set up by volunteers and organisations working to support free communication all over the world.
“We’re making it simpler for everyone to use a proxy to connect to WhatsApp. So, when a WhatsApp connection is banned, users have the option to regain access “explained WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart.
