WhatsApp rolling out video avatar feature for shy users, All you must know

WhatsApp: WhatsApp recently activated the channel feature. This update has not yet been received by everyone. The corporation is rolling it out in stages. The channel feature allows creators to reach out to a larger audience. Meanwhile, the business plans to launch a new feature on the app soon. According to Wabetainfo, the firm is working on a new ‘Video Avatar’ function, which is currently available to some beta testers. Your video calling experience on the app will be completely transformed by the video avatar function.

WhatsApp video avatar feature: What is it?

During a video call, you can use this function to place your avatar in front of you rather than your face. The artificial avatar will mimic your facial expressions and display them to the user. This will change the video call experience. This feature will be more beneficial if you are not adequately dressed and do not want to expose your face during a video call. This upgrade is currently visible in WhatsApp Beta version 2.23.19.14.

Like other WhatsApp features, the video avatar function is end-to-end encrypted, and you can use it at any point throughout the call.

What are channels?

WhatsApp, a Meta Platforms-owned instant messaging service, has announced the launch of WhatsApp Channels in India and over 150 countries, which will bring private updates from organisations, sports teams, artists, and thought leaders that people can follow. WhatsApp Channels are a one-way broadcast mechanism within the app, according to a company statement.
