WhatsApp: To enhance WhatsApp users’ experiences, Meta frequently introduces new features. A new feature for video messaging is currently being prepared to be introduced. Reports state that users will soon be able to send messages by recording videos similar to voice notes. The beta versions of the instant messaging software for Android and iOS currently offer this capability. Users will be able to send 60-second videos. The new feature is not like the way you already exchange video files.
The new feature will make sending video chats on WhatsApp quicker than previously, according to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks new features and updates. As a result, user interaction will be much simplified. In addition, it will serve to enhance WhatsApp users’ overall experience.
How will the new WhatsApp feature work?
The new WhatsApp function requires you to tap the microphone in order to shoot video. You can switch the video mode via the microphone that is displayed in the chat bar. Hold the camera steady after that to continue recording the video message. This function is encrypted from beginning to end. In other words, the video will be recorded in the same manner the voice note message was.
Features and testing
Pre-recorded video files are transferable and archivable. Video messages cannot be shared or forwarded, though. Nevertheless, you can record the screen or take a picture of the message if you did not send the video message as a ‘view once’ message. Android 2.23.13.4 and iOS 23.12.0.71 beta versions both include this capability.
Currently, the beta channel is being used to test the new video message feature. The public is anticipated to receive this feature very soon.
