WhatsApp: With the most recent Android beta, WhatsApp status is receiving a much-needed feature. The messaging app owned by Meta has reportedly uploaded the most recent version of WhatsApp for Android 2.23.26.3 to the Play Store, according to WABetaInfo. With this upgrade, users will be able to upload HD-quality photographs and videos to their WhatsApp status while maintaining the original size and resolution.
WhatsApps new update
WhatsApp has added HD support for the status section in the Android beta version 2.23.26.3. In the Status area, users will see a new HD icon that replicates the HD photo and video sharing functionality. Through the icon’s click, users can choose to post high-quality images and videos as their WhatsApp Status.
Currently, only a small group of beta testers can access the HD functionality for status in the beta version. It is anticipated that WhatsApp will make this capability available to further beta testers prior to opening it out to all users outside of the testing programme.
How to try out this feature?
- Look for WhatsApp on the Google Play Store.
- Find the “Become a beta tester” area by scrolling down the WhatsApp website and clicking the “Join” button.
- After signing up to be a beta tester, give it some time before seeing if an update is ready.
- Installing the WhatsApp beta on your phone requires downloading the update.
