Xiaomi 12 Pro vs iPhone 13 mini: Xiaomi 12 Pro OR iPhone 13 mini? These two are probably on your list of the best smartphones to buy if you have less than Rs. 70,000 to spend on one. The newest of the bunch is the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which includes all the top-notch features you’d want in an Android flagship in 2022. This calls for high-resolution rear cameras, a high-res AMOLED display, the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and an extremely quick charging system. The Xiaomi 12 Pro appears to be the only phone you will ever need on paper.
The entry-level model for Apple’s flagship iPhone 13 line, however, is the iPhone 13 Mini. A smaller version of the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Mini offers the same dependable iPhone 13 experience in a more portable package. Despite being available for more than six months, the iPhone 13 Mini hasn’t generated significant sales.

Display
The fantastic 5.4-inch OLED screen on the iPhone 13 Mini also supports Dolby Vision. However, it cannot compete with the 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Curved AMOLED display of the Xiaomi, which has a variable refresh rate of 1Hz-120Hz. Pick up the Xiaomi 12 Pro if you enjoy watching movies or web series and see no compromise with the display. In the market, it has the top display.
Cameras
Despite the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s triple camera setup, we discovered that the iPhone 13 Mini’s dual rear camera system performed significantly better in both still and video photography. The iPhone 13 Mini favours taking pictures that are extremely detailed and have accurate colour reproduction. The cameras on the Xiaomi 12 Pro aren’t bad per se, but they fall short of the iPhone’s in terms of both still and moving image quality. Keep in mind that the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 50MP 2x zoom camera for portraits, which is useful in well-lit conditions.
Operating system
Android 12 powers the MIUI 13 experience on the Xiaomi 12 Pro, a highly customizable Android skin that is well-suited for daily tasks. Although it comes with some pre-installed bloatware, the overall experience is among the best on the Android side. Currently, the iPhone 13 Mini runs iOS 15 in its most recent incarnation, iOS 15.5, and provides a largely stable user experience. Though iOS offers a nice way to use your smartphone every day, you can customise it quite a bit.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro will also receive four years of security updates and updates to the Android operating system. With at least six years’ worth of anticipated iOS updates, the iPhone 13 Mini surpasses it.
Performance
They are both the swiftest members of their ecosystems. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which powers the Xiaomi 12 Pro, is lightning-fast and capable of handling almost any task. However, it heats up quickly under heavy tasks and gaming, something which the iPhone 13 Mini doesn’t do, With iOS 15 installed, the iPhone 13 Mini maintains composure and performs identical apps and games in the best ways possible without sacrificing speed.
Price and variants
The entry-level Xiaomi 12 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs. 62,999, while the starting price for the 128GB variant of the iPhone 13 Mini is Rs. 64,999. There is unquestionably a slight price advantage for the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
