New Delhi: There are so many service providers for transportation, delivery, groceries, and other things these days that it’s difficult for users to download and juggle so many different apps. And all a user wants is easy access to a variety of services. In order to achieve this, a ride-hailing service provider is launching a first-of-its-kind integration system that will allow customers to book a ride via WhatsApp.
That’s correct. Uber has partnered with Meta-owned WhatsApp to launch a service that will allow users to book an Uber ride without downloading the Uber app via Uber’s official WhatsApp chatbot. Users will be able to manage their rides and all of the services offered, beginning with user registration and ride booking, and will even receive the trip receipt via the messaging app.
Uber has also assured all of its customers that if they book a ride through WhatsApp, they will receive all of the safety features and insurance protection. Users can chat and book rides in both Hindi and English, thanks to the new feature’s multilingual support.
It should be noted that the Uber booking service via WhatsApp is currently only available in the Delhi NCR and Lucknow areas.
