Zoom Meeting App: Zoom has decided to stop supporting iOS 11 and iOS 12, as stated in a recent release. According to the release notes for Zoom for iPhone’s most recent version, this modification will go into effect early next month. The support for iOS versions 11 and 12 will end with the release of the update. According to Zoom’s help website, iOS users who wish to continue receiving updates for the Zoom app after next month’s planned release need to update to iOS 13 or above.
iOS 11, 12 Users Advised to Update
Zoom users are advised that they must update to iOS 13 or above on their devices in order to get Zoom updates going forward. In its release notes, the business made clear that with the next update, support for iOS 11 and 12 will come to an end.
This may be a normal decision for many to discontinue support for these earlier iOS versions, given that iOS 11 was released in 2017 and iOS 12 was released in 2018. The rapid advancement of technology has led to a growing trend in which various firms are discontinuing support for outdated operating systems.
How You Can Continue Using Zoom on Your iPhone
It is now necessary for users of devices still running iOS 11 or 12 to consider updating to a supported version of iOS. You might not be able to use upcoming Zoom features and upgrades if you don’t do this. For further information, Zoom has requested users to visit the company’s website and read the whole release notes of Zoom for the iOS version. Zoom has taken this initiative to prioritise security and functionality in the app.
