Adipurush teaser out: The first teaser of Om Raut’s Adipurush is out and things are not on expectations. The film stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Kriti Sanon as Sita. The film is based on Hindu mythological book Ramayana but the director used CGI and VFX heavily.

The teaser shows Lord Rama in deep meditation underwater as demons come swirling in. He aims his arrows to take a few out when we get the first glimpse at Saif Ali Khan’s Lankesh with ice-blue eyes, praying at mountain. He has also seen showing off his 10 heads to a woman sitting down. Lankesh rides a demon-dragon-creature into battle and on the other side, Lord Ram joined his army that includes Lakshman and Hanuman along with Vaanar Sena.
There is a short glimpse of Kriti Sanon’s Sita with Lord Rama smiling at her. The trailer is followed by scenes of battle between the demons and the vaanar sena. It looks very bad as the CGI reminds one of the pre-2010 Bollywood.
Adipurush is Om Raut’s next project after his 2020 blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. The movie will be released in theatres on January 12, 2023 in IMAX and 3D.
