A number of posters with the message “daughter of warrior will never fear” appeared in Hyderabad the day before the CBI interrogation. On the posters, it said, “We are with Kavithakka.”
The neighbourhood surrounding MLC K Kavitha’s house looked vacant earlier in the day. According to party sources, K Kavitha, a former Nizamabad MP, has asked that party officials and supporters refrain from congregating at her home and that they instead work with the central agency.
Police have erected barricades outside MLC K Kavitha’s residence and increased security.
Initially requested to be available on December 6, K. Kavitha instead informed the central agency that she would be available at her Hyderabad home on December 11, 12, 14, and 15 for questioning in connection with the investigation.
“Specifically, please refer to your trail mail from 6/12/2022. On December 11, 2022, at 11 am, I will be accessible at my home in relation to the investigation “Kavitha replied through email with the following statement.

Charges imposed against K Kavitha
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is looking into Kavitha after the legislator allegedly changed her phones and phone numbers during the suspected excise policy fraud, according to a recent remand copy filed before a Delhi court. A parallel inquiry into the case is also being carried out by the CBI.
According to the remand copy created by the ED for jailed businessman from Gurugram Amit Arora, who is allegedly Manish Sisodia’s deputy chief minister of Delhi, Arora contacted 35 people in the previous year, including TRS MLC Kavitha. According to the remand copy, Kavitha was approached ten times by Amit Arora, an accused assistant of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, using two phone numbers that belonged to her. Buddy Retail, situated in Gurugram, is directed by Arora.
In its remand report, the ED asserted that Vijay Nair, a key suspect in the Delhi excise policy scandal, had received kickbacks from the “South Group,” which it alleged was “managed by Sarath Reddy, K Kavitha, and Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy.”
She was identified by ED officers in the alleged booze scam on November 30. She was mentioned in a court document filed by the ED in connection with its inquiries into the Delhi liquor scandal.
32 suspects, including MPs Kalvakuntla Kavitha, Manish Sisodia, and Kailash Gehlot, are allegedly involved in the suspected excise policy fraud, according to the ED. One of the alleged suspects in the case is Minister Manish Sisodia. After Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena suggested a CBI probe into the situation, the Delhi government’s new excise policy was abandoned.
