Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Adipurush’ has released on 16th June after several controversies, criticisms and bans. On the weekend, ‘Adipurush’ performed tremendously at the box office. The Om Raut directed film has earned ₹340 crore worldwide. Amidst flak for the film’s dialogues and VFX, there has been a drop in the box office collection of ‘Adipurush’ on Monday. The film has managed to earn only 20 crores on Monday.
Total box office collection of Adipurush
As per a report in Sacnilk, Adipurush has opened to a decent box office collection over the weekend. The film earned ₹86 crore on its opening day, ₹65 crore on Saturday and ₹69 crore on Sunday. ‘Adipurush’ has collected a total of 220 crores on the weekend in India and 340 crores worldwide.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has reported a decline in the film’s earnings on Monday. He tweeted, “THE NEGATIVE WORD OF MOUTH HAS COME INTO PLAY… After a strong opening weekend, Adipurush COLLAPSES on Monday. Hindi version. India biz (business).”
Heavy backlash for cringy dialogues
Prabhas, Kriti Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Adipurush’ has been facing the wrath of people for its cringeworthy dialogues and poor VFX. The film is inspired by the mythological text ‘Ramayana’ and people are angry with some modern creativity in it. The movie has been released in multiple languages like Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil.
