Amit Shah: On Thursday in Gurugram, the Union home minister Amit Shah and minister of cooperation will speak at the opening session of the “G20 Conference on Crime and Security in the age of NFTs, AI, and Metaverse.” The Cyber Volunteer Squads from India’s top 7 educational institutes will also be launched by the home minister. These specially designated volunteers will seek to increase societal cyberawareness, detect and report hazardous information, and provide technical support for enhancing societal cyber safety.

Over 900 delegates from G20 nations, nine special invitee nations, international organisations, and technology leaders and subject matter experts from India and other countries will attend the two-day conference on July 13–14. The arrangements were examined and finalised by Director General of Police, Haryana PK Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon Nishant Yadav, and Commissioner of Police Kala Ramchandran. The conference is envisioned as a chance to establish a worldwide alliance to create a secure cyberspace and to give cybersecurity issues top priority. In the context of new and developing technologies like Non Fungible Tokens (NFT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Metaverse, the sessions will centre on cyber security and methods to counter cybercrime.

Six technical sessions covering topics like “Internet Governance: National Responsibility and Global Commons,” “Securing DPI amidst Unprecedented Scale of Digitization: Design, Architecture, Policies, and Preparedness,” “AI: Challenges, Opportunities, and Responsible Use,” and “Connecting the Dots: Challenges of Crypto Currency & Darknet and Cr” will be held over the course of the two-day conference.”
