A Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) court in Mumbai today said that it would hear on Wednesday (October 13) the bail plea of Aryan Khan, accused in Mumbai cruise drug bust case.
The court asked the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to file its reply on Wednesday morning and argue in the same matter in the second half of the same day.
Senior advocate Amit Desai representing Mr. Aryan Khan appeared before special judge V.V. Patil and argued that his client had been in custody since October 9 and his statement had been recorded only once. The advocate said that he had not been found in possession of any narcotics and that copies of his bail application had been served to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

NCB’s counsel A.M. Chimalkar sought one week’s time to reply to the bail plea. However, the court said it would hear the matter on October 13. Aryan Khan will remain lodged in Arthur Road prison till then.
Aryan Khan has been charged with offences under Sections 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29 and 35 of the NDPS Act pertaining to possession, consumption and purchase of drugs.
An NCB team raided the Goa-bound cruise ship on October 2 based on a tip-off and claimed to have seized banned drugs. So far, the NCB has arrested 20 people in connection with the case.
