Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the actor, released a video of his transformation for his next film Haddi on Tuesday. Haddi, paid as a murder drama thriller, stars the talented actor in double roles, including one as a Transwoman. Nawazuddin uploaded a 38-second video to twitter showing his transformation, starting with kohled eyes and lipstick and progressing to the actor wearing a kurta and then a long hair wig.
Nawazuddin took to his Twitter account to share the video, he wrote, “Here’s a sneak peek into my transformation in #Haddi . #Haddi releasing in 2023.” Akshat Ajay Sharma, a newcomer to direction, is the director of Haddi.
The film will be shot in western Uttar Pradesh, encompassing Noida and Ghaziabad, and will be supported by Zee Studios and Raadhika Nanda and Sanjay Saha of Anandita Studios. Previously, in an interview with the Bombay Times, Nawazuddin claimed that his daughter was unhappy when she first saw him dressed as a lady, but she soon realized it was for a character.

Nawazuddin further stated that following filming for Haddi, his admiration for females expanded immensely. “I now see why an actress may take longer than her male partner to exit her vanity vehicle. It is completely justified.” He went on to say that “apart from performing, women have a lot on their plates, including hair, cosmetics, clothing, and nails.”

Following a relatively quiet 2022 with only one feature film release-Heropanti 2, the actor is expected to have a busy following year with projects such as Haddi, Tiku Weds Sheru, Noorani Chehra, and Afwaah, among others.
