Pratapgarh Viral Video: In a strange incident in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, one man sat right in the middle of a busy road in front of a police booth. One could not be sure whether his motive was to protest against police officials or to show an act of lumpenism and strength. Meanwhile, he sat with no hesitation despite the heavy traffic and did not care for the passing vehicles. The whole incident was captured on a camera and has now gone viral on social media.

Man’s Defiant Act on Busy Road

Ghar ka kalesh made the incident public by posting the Pratapgarh Viral Video on X with a caption, “A man sitting on a chair in the middle of the road got touched by Truck, Prataphgarh UP”. The video shows a truck, while driving on the road, came near the man but he didn’t budge from his place looking at the coming truck. It ran over his chair, knocking him on to the road, but the truck continued driving without stopping.

Man Remains Defiant Despite Being Hit

What makes this incident all the more astonishing is the fact that the man, when hit, never budged from his position. He kept on sitting defiantly on the road, with his chair shattered and his body splayed across the asphalt. The Pratapgarh Viral Video further showed the presence of a police officer at the booth nearby, who did nothing as the incident unfolded.

The video has generated a mammoth amount of debate on the internet, where many have questioned the reasoning of the man and apparent non-action from the police. Some speculated this behaviour to be some sort of protest by the man, or at least an announcement of some sort of disobedience whereas other simply were baffled by the blatant display of recklessness shown. There are concerns relating to road safety and what law enforcers must do to maintain order in that situation.
