Deepti Sharma dislodges bail with superb delivery
The opening duo of Sabbhineni Meghana and Sophia Dunkley got off to a decent start for their team, building a partnership of 34 runs in the first four overs. However, their momentum was cut short when Deepti Sharma bowled a superb delivery to dismiss Dunkley in the fourth over. This dismissal proved to be a crucial blow for Gujarat Giants, halting their speed after a promising start.
Sophia Dunkley’s impressive start for Gujarat Giants came to an abrupt end when Deepti Sharma delivered a perfectly pitched yorker on the leg stump, leaving Dunkley with no time to react as the ball shattered her stumps. This wicket proved to be a turning point in the match as UP Warriorz seized the opportunity and started to dominate the game.

Gujarat Giants are facing the challenge of playing without their skipper Beth Mooney, who was sidelined due to an injury she suffered in the last game.
