Viral Animal Video: On social media, a video of a purported Nigerian pastor sitting in a lion cage is going viral. Outside, a large group of people are observing them. However, this assertion has been refuted. The individual appears to be a zoo keeper or employee.
Bold Act of ‘Divine Protection’
Apparently, a so-called Nigerian pastor exploited this to demonstrate his ‘divine protection’ and the fact that God is watching over him, according to a DailyStar story. He imprisoned himself among three lions in a cage. As in the biblical account of Daniel, who was delivered from terrifying lions by God himself. Like in the narrative of Daniel, the so-called pastor likewise sought to demonstrate that “nothing can happen to a man of God,” and he was even observed inviting spectators to the animal park to witness the performance. The man is also seen placing one of his hands in a lion‘s jaws, but the lion does not gobble up the man’s hand. The video shows this as well.
‘Pastor’ Calmly Sits Among Lions, Recalls Biblical Tale of Daniel
The so-called pastor can be seen in the viral video sitting in a lion enclosure in Nigeria while sporting a flashy blue suit. He can also be seen petting the cage’s howling lions. The man is shown looking at the camera with calm and complete assurance, even throughout these tense situations. He seemed to be recounting the biblical account of Daniel, who was cast into the lion’s den but, by the grace of God, was spared.
BBC Debunks Divine Protection Claim
According to the BBC, “he is not a man of God at all.” He works as a zoo keeper. Nigerian origins of this video. It does not depict a priest from a particular church. Reverse image search was employed by journalists to ascertain this. Mohammed Abdirahman Mohammed is the man in question; he has been a zookeeper at the park in Mogadishu, Somalia, for more than 8 years. There are further videos with his lions.
