Viral News: A couple in Gurugram performed marriage ceremonies for their pet dog and a nearby dog, conducting the animals’ matrimony. The ceremony was held in accordance with the traditions of Indian weddings. The customary “pheras” was performed for the wedding of the two dogs.
In fact, according to the dog owner, a “haldi ceremony” was also planned for her dogs and the future partner dog. On November 14, two dogs—Sweety and Sheru—married.
Proper wedding rites were conducted
The wedding was incredibly odd, as were the visuals. In reality, invitations were sent out, and in the locality alone, about 100 wedding invitations were distributed. Although the wedding was quite well, the residents of Jile Singh Colony in Palam Vihar Extension might have been surprised. As “baraatis,” they participated in the two dogs’ rites.
“I am a pet lover and, as a couple, we used to take care of pets. I do not have a child, so Sweety (the female dog) is our kid. My husband used to go to the temple and feed animals and one day a stray dog followed him and came to us three years ago. We named her Sweety,” the owner, Savita, said.
We didn’t fear the police: Owner
She continued by saying that many suggested her to get sweety married. “We planned a ceremony in four days and decided to follow all rituals,” she added. She added that since they were a couple without children and this was the only thing making them happy, they had no fear of being apprehended by the police.
Manita, the owner of the male dog Sheru, on the other hand, said that the suggestion was made in joke but that the topic of the dogs’ wedding ceremony quickly turned serious.
