Viral Video: On the occasion of Christmas, well-known sand artist and Padma Shree recipient Sudarsan Pattnaik created a Santa Claus made of tomatoes on the Gopalpur beach in Odisha. The artist disclosed that 1.5 tons of tomatoes were used in the installation of this piece. The sculpture measures 60 feet in width and 27 feet in height. Pattnaik was assisted by his students, who worked together with him to finish it on time.

Pattnaik shared a video on Twitter that featured the collaborative Santa Claus that he and his students had made. We can see a sizable Santa Claus sand sculpture made with tomatoes and sand in Pattnaik’s 15-second video. In the video, Pattnaik can be seen giving the sculpture some final touches. People gathered nearby to watch this being created in real time.

Although Pattnaik received praise for his efforts in the tweet’s comment section, some users thought he should have chosen a different ingredient to reduce waste.Christmas is being celebrated all over the country by people going to churches and getting together to dance and sing.
