Viral Video: In Uttarakhand, a video purporting to show BJP MLA hooliganism has surfaced. The BJP MLA can be heard openly threatening the officer and discussing slapping him in this video. Mahant Dilip Rawat, the Lansdowne-based BJP MLA, was observed threatening the Transport Department representative. There were other officers on the scene during this incident at Kodiyan in Kotdwar, but none of them attempted to step in.
BJP MLA’s On-Camera Confrontation
Dilip Mahant, a BJP MLA, was seen in this video getting out of the car and approaching the officer directly. The Lansdowne BJP MLA misbehaved with the Kotdwar officer to get the vehicle released. Nonetheless, in spite of the MLA’s warning, Transport Department official Harish Sati maintained his composure. Following his supporter’s car being challaned, a BJP MLA was observed looking upset.
BJP MLA Addresses the Public to Clarify His Actions
MLA is now making appearances to provide clarification. He explained that he had arrived there because recovery was being done there under the guise of a traffic challan. Transport officials, however, assert that the BJP worker’s traffic challan was issued legally.
