The woman booked a Rapido bike to Indiranagar on April 21st at 11:10 p.m. Instead of taking her to her destination, the rider, who took her phone under the guise of checking the OTP, transported her to Doddaballapura.

The woman and her friend arrived at Yelahanka New Town Police Station, where officers responded quickly and addressed the situation in a prompt, cooperative, and polite manner. According to a senior police officer, the accused was detained and charged with sexual harassment, kidnapping, assault, or criminal force against a woman with the goal to offend her modesty and causing harm by acts risking the life or personal safety of others.
